A notice savings account lets you earn interest on your savings, but you usually need to give the provider advance notice before withdrawing money, often between 30 and 180 days. To compare accounts, look at the AER, notice period, minimum balance, withdrawal rules and whether the rate is variable. The best account depends on when you might need the money, so it may not suit an emergency fund. Check that the provider is authorised by the FCA and that eligible deposits have FSCS protection, currently up to £120,000 per banking group.
